ABOUT MAURICE "Skip" KIMBALL

Maurice "Skip" Kimball is a leader with a creative mind in the entertainment industry. He specializes in series animation, theme park design and AAA games. Maurice strongly believes that visual development and design are the foundation of any successful venture in entertainment storytelling. Therefore, he has contributed his expertise in aesthetics and story direction to some of the top properties in the entertainment industry.
 
Maurice is currently a Senior Art Director at ICON Creative Studio. His work involves art directing on multiple animated series for Disney and LucasFilm. Some of his notable credits include Star Wars Young Jedi Adventures, Alice in Wonderland Bakery, Monsters at Work Seasons 1 & 2, and The Rocketeer.

In 2022, Maurice established 'Tiny Tinker Productions,' his IP holding company, to facilitate the development of his IPs. He conceptualizes the visuals, writes the story premises, and creates music lyrics and melodies from his imagination. Currently, he is developing GOTHIEs and HOLIE for series consideration. His first published book, 'VITA MORTUIS Fear Behind the Seethe Door,' will be available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble in late Fall 2023. 
 
Throughout his career, Maurice has achieved several noteworthy accomplishments. He co-founded Atomhawk Design in Vancouver and served as its Creative Director. During his time there, Maurice led numerous AAA game projects and served as Lead Designer for an unannounced theme park in Doha, Qatar. Prior to co-founding Atomhawk Vancouver, he worked in visual development and art direction for various top studios in the industry, such as Activision Blizzard, Microsoft Game Studio, Universal Creative, Nickelodeon, Film Roman, Warner Bros., and Disney. Maurice earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia in 1993. He then worked on various projects from Los Angeles to Vancouver.
